Focus Izalco Max 8.9 Carbon Road Bike – Shimano 105 Di2 12-Speed | Mahogany Red & Slate Grey

The Focus Izalco Max 8.9 is a fast carbon road bike for riders who want to push harder. It pairs an aerodynamic frame with Shimano 105 Di2 electronic shifting and 45mm carbon wheels, so it's quick on training rides, climbs and race days.

The NACA-inspired tube shapes cut drag without losing the stiffness you need to accelerate hard. The integrated C.I.S. 2.0 stem hides the cables and has a built-in mount for Garmin and Wahoo computers. The Mahogany Red and Slate Grey finish looks sharp too.

Built for Speed

The carbon frame (approx. 1,050g in size Medium) and fork (approx. 400g) are designed to be light, stiff and responsive. The optimised bottom bracket area puts your pedalling effort into forward momentum, and the fork keeps steering precise.

Shimano 105 Di2 Electronic Shifting

Gear changes are quick and consistent, whether you're climbing, sprinting out of a corner or holding speed on the flats. If you want electronic shifting without stepping up to a higher-tier groupset, 105 Di2 is a great balance of performance and everyday usability.

Braking and Tyres

Shimano 105 hydraulic discs give you consistent lever feel and solid control on descents and in corners. The 28mm Vittoria Rubino TLR tyres strike a good balance of speed, grip and comfort, and you can run them tubeless or with tubes.

Sizing

Available in seven frame sizes, with stem lengths from 70mm to 120mm across the range. The right combination depends on your frame size and bike fit.

Shipping

Professionally Built & Ready to Ride

Every bike is fully assembled by our qualified mechanics before it leaves our Prahran store in Victoria. We carefully lubricate all necessary components, tune the gears and brakes, and complete a full safety check to ensure everything is running perfectly.

Once your bike is dialled in, we securely repack it using recycled protective materials so it arrives in pristine condition.

When your new bike arrives, you’ll simply need to:

  • Refit the handlebar

  • Install the saddle/seat post

  • Attach the front wheel

  • Fit the pedals (if supplied)

It’s quick, straightforward, and gets you riding sooner.

We prefer to use FedEx for all bicycle deliveries. In our experience, this is the most reliable and safest way to ship your new bike, giving you peace of mind from dispatch to delivery.
