Well thanks to this superb lightweight full carbon frame gives the VAM2 SL 9.0 a strong but agile ride. Focus have redesigned the rear triangle of this VAM2 SL 9.0 to give it a new flex pivot. What does that mean for you? Well, it results in the lightest e-MTB frame produced by Focus, it gives it in our opinion an even cleaner design and helps to slim the downtube as the pivot gives more strength to the rest of the bike.

Fazua E-Drive Motor and Battery

Ok, we know this isn't the biggest and most powerful motor and battery combo in the bicycle industry. But look at the weight loss of this VAM2 SL 9.0 and compare that to the size of a bigger battery and motor combo. The difference is massive!

So, with 60Nm of torque being pushed out of a motor that has a maximum power output of 450W, it will push you forward just how you imagine a bigger battery and motor combo would. Don't trust me, then come try it out. 

The Fazua motor is a quite drive system, with one of the most naturally feeling ride experience in the E-Bike game, it makes riding through nature feel like you are a part of nature.

The integrated battery can be charged via the port in the seat tube. However, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how far the 430Wh battery will take you. Worst case scenario is having to ride the lightweight E-MTB home to the car. Or Fazua offer a range extender to give you an extra 210Wh. So that is more than enough power to get another loop in and home.

Integration done right?

The VAM2 SL 9.0 debuts some new tech from Focus. The new one-piece SL Cockpit is a fully integrated handlebar stem combination that weighs only 290g! This setup comes with a standard width of 800 mm, but can be shortened to 760 mm.

Our MTB One Piece SL Cockpit has a virtual length of 50 mm and 25 mm of rise. The VAM² SL 9.0 cockpit can be equipped with a computer and action camera mount to keep record of your ride statistics or create long-lasting memories. To make sure the VAM² SL 9.0 stands the test of time, we equipped the headset with two additional integrated protection seals to preserve the bearings even better.
