At the heart of the Atlas 8.7 is a premium carbon frame and fork, delivering a responsive yet forgiving ride feel. Whether you’re cruising long distances or tackling rougher terrain, the frame is designed to smooth out chatter while still feeling lively under power. With a system weight rating of 135kg, it’s also ready for bikepacking setups and heavier loads.

One of the standout features is Focus’s clever Prep Pocket system, neatly integrated into the frame. It comes with a Prep Pack, giving you a smart, built-in storage solution for tools, snacks, or ride essentials — no bulky saddle bags required.

Shifting is handled by Shimano’s GRX 2x12 drivetrain, combining the GRX 820 derailleurs with GRX 610 shifters and crankset. This setup gives you a wide gear range (46/30T up front and 11-36T at the rear), making steep climbs manageable while still offering speed on the flats. It’s smooth, reliable, and purpose-built for gravel riding.

Rolling stock is just as impressive, with DT Swiss G540 rims paired to Alexrims hubs, wrapped in Schwalbe G-One R Pro tubeless-ready tyres. At 45mm wide, these tyres strike the perfect balance between speed and grip, giving you confidence across loose gravel, dirt roads, and rough surfaces.

Comfort and control are dialled in with a carbon seatpost, ergonomic gravel bar, and Focus’s C.I.S. 2.0 integrated cockpit. Hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano’s GRX range provide powerful, consistent stopping performance in all conditions, with larger rotors up front on bigger frame sizes for extra control when it matters most.
